Phil and Debbie Smith

About our founders:
Phil Smith came to know Christ as his Savior at age 11. In 1978 he surrendered to follow God's Will. He attended Tennessee Temple University for three year. After which he spent ten years in the Air Force. He attended John Brown University where he graduated with a B.A. in Bible in 1987. In 1991 he married Debbie who was an assistant director for Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF). After Debbie was saved in 1978, she became involved with CEF of SW Alabama as a Good News Club teacher, eventually joining the staff as an assistant director in the Central Alabama chapter. The Lord called Phil and Debbie to direct the CEF work in SW Alabama at the start of 1995 through 2004. Phil and Debbie both have been working with children in several ministries since 1978. In February 2004 God led them to start Wee Can Know. In 2007, Phil received a M.A. in Chritian Education and Debbie received a B.A. in Christian Ministry from New Orleans Theological Seminary.
